How to get to Fjellkysten gjestehus

Arriving by car:

If you are driving, it is easy to get to Fjellkysten gjestehus. We are located in the municipality Lavangen in the southern part of Troms. Just a little detour of the E6.

Arriving by public transportation:

If you are using public transportation to get to us, it can be more complicated. To make it easier on our guests we have made it possible to transport our own guests. We have a 7-seat car that enable us to pickup and driver our guests to our hotel and after check out deliver them to where they are going next.

The nearest airports:

Fjellkysten gjestehus is located near three airports. Bardufoss- and Evenes airport is the closest whereas Tromsø is the biggest and the one with the most traffic.

There are mostly domestic flights to and from Bardufoss airport, and the biggest airline flying here is Norwegian.

Tromsø airport is the most frequented airport in our region. You will find the most flights going here.

With the train to Narvik: 

If you are arriving from the North it can be a very nice experience to travel with a train north through Sweden.
Ofotbanen going from Kiruna in Sweden to Narvik in Norway. It is consider to be one of the most beautiful railroads in Europe with its picturesque nature. For booking of tickets, see sj.se.

Fjellkysten can pickup guests at Narvik train station for a minimum of NOK 800 each way, or NOK 400 pr. person each way.

The arctic route:

If you are traveling with public transportation and want to visit us during the winter (Desember trough March) to book a package with the arctic route is a good alternative. The Arctic Route is all about making the Arctic region more accessible for travelers. Together with other travel companies in the region and the buss company Bussring we have made it easier to get between Tromsø, Narvik, Lyngen, Målselv and Senja. The busses are more upgraded that regular travel busses with softer seats and coffee/ te available on the bus.
One of our most popular packages with the arctic route is to travel from Tromsø to the polar park. Have a day exploring the park, get picked up there and driven to Fjellkysten gjestehus. Stay in our nicest room, the fjord view plus, eat a nice dinner in our restaurant and end the day in our relaxing SPA area. The day after you’ll get transported back to the polar park where the buss goes further to Narvik.
